It is with great sadness that we announce our beautiful Sonia made her journey to heaven on Sunday 11th August. She was a beloved Wife, Daughter, Mum and Nanna, as well as a wonderful friend to many.
Throughout Sonia’s battle with cancer, she showed true strength and courage. She always had a smile for everyone. In her final days, Sonia was at home, where she wanted to be, and joined the angels peacefully surrounded by her close family.
We are completely devastated, her passing has left a huge hole in our hearts that can never be filled. We find comfort in knowing that she will continue to guide us, just as she did on this earth, inspiring us all to love hard and stay close to one another.
Sonia’s funeral service will be held at The Immaculate Conception and St Joseph Catholic Church on Friday 23rd August at 2.30pm, followed by a service at Woollensbrook Crematorium in Hoddesdon. The wake will be held at ‘The White Horse’ in Hertingfordbury. All are welcome in raising a glass for our beautiful Sonia. (see details below)
Although Sonia never discussed her funeral arrangements in detail, she did express her wishes for something traditional and lots (and lots) of flowers.
