It is with great sadness we announce the death of Roger Sidney Underhill, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Roger was the second eldest child of Margaret Rose Underhill and Sydney Underhill, and sibling to Judy, Mandy, Janice, and Tony. He was born in Leamington Spa December 29th 1951 and attended Bath Place and Blackdown schools. Roger married Chris in 1971 and they had two children, Jeff & Jenni, and subsequently two grandchildren, Alisdair and Eloise. He began his working life as a Butcher at the co-op in Warwick and progressed to being a butchering manager at Hewin's cash-and-carry where he learned to drive. Driving license in hand he became a postman and moved to driving vans before working as a plant operator for Seven Trent Water for 13 years. Roger and Chris lived in Coventry, Leamington Spa, Warwick, and most recently Long Buckby for 22 years before Roger's health declined and he passed at Northampton General Hospital on Sunday May 12th 2024. We plan for immediate family flowers only but memorial donations made in Rogers’s name to the British Heart Foundation or Macmillan Nurses would be greatly appreciated. Funeral service dress code preference is no black and smart casual as he’d want people to be comfortable.
