FREEZE Douglas Lee, 1951-2023, passed away on 16th December at his home in Tatsfield, at the age of 72, with his loving family by his side.

Doug, originally from the USA, is survived by his wife, Anne, daughter, Danielle, son-in-law, Blake, and grand-pup, Oakley.

Doug’s only brother, Dennis, passed away earlier in 2023. Doug has extensive, much loved, family in America.

Doug was a Director of H. Lilley and Company Ltd, the family firm, where he spent most of his time at the Biggin Hill branch. He had a very helpful nature and enjoyed trying to solve electrical and plumbing problems, with a passion for lighting up trees and outdoor Christmas lighting.

Doug was a keen sportsman and loved water skiing, snowmobiling, snow skiing, squash and racket ball. Doug also enjoyed woodwork, country music and a beer or two.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Doug touched over the years are invited to his service on Friday 2nd February at 3pm, Bluebell Cemetery, Old London Road, Halstead, Sevenoaks, Kent, TN14 7AE, and afterwards a chance to raise a glass to Doug, reminisce and catch up at Tatsfield Village Club, Westmore Green, Tatsfield, TN16 2AG, (behind the pond)  -  Refreshments will be available. Please feel free to add a touch of colour to your attire as Doug loved colour.

Flowers will be given by the family. However, the family politely request that others who wish to make a contribution do so by way of a donation to the RNLI instead of sending flowers. Donations to the RNLI would be gratefully received, and would reflect the fondness Doug had of his time sailing with Anne and friends back in their heyday.
