It with a heavy heart that I have to announce that Mum, Maura Quinn, sadly passed away just before Christmas.
It has been a tough few years for Mum, but throughout she kept her dignity, sense of humour and that cheeky smile - she died peacefully in her sleep.
As well as being Mum, Maura was also a Sister, Aunt and Friend to many often providing help, support and counsel where she could – on her retirement the Director of Social Services said ‘Children were safer because of you’.
She will be greatly missed.
There will be a remembrance & celebration of her life on Wednesday 17th January, details of which are below.
Whilst we all know that Maura was a keen Gardener & loved her flowers, following the amazing support she received from the Macmillan nurses during her beloved Johns’ illness, she was always keen to help them continue their brilliant work. Therefore, rather than any floral tributes, a donation to Macmillan nurses will be greatly appreciated.
In what is a sad time, the thoughts, kind words & prayers from so many are greatly appreciated.
