Gary sadly passed away aged 61 years and will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.Gary was a great Dad to his 3 boys Jordan,Christian and Rhys and was very proud of what they had achieved. The best husband, soulmate and friend to Tracey. Maureen and Tom so very proud of their loving son,the best brother, uncle and great uncle. Gary was very popular and had many friends,he was just a lovely person.West Ham was his love in football and supported them through thick and thin going to watch them until he became too unwell and weak to go anymore. Gary's love of music, especially live music is where a lot of the charity fund raising was done-March of the mods his favourite,he was the life and soul of a party. Travelling and going on holiday was what Gary looked forward to,he loved the sunshine with a cup of tea on the beach. Gary worked at MBDA was British Aerospace for 45 years and made many friends there. He was the local councillor for the Wilbury Area and was on the board of Howard Cottage he would always help and support where he could.
Gary put up a very brave fight against Esophageal cancer for 2 years, even beating it once, but sadly the cancer returned and couldn't be beaten again.
Gary was a lovely, friendly, happy, sociable person a big personality who is leaving a huge hole in everyone's heart,he will be missed by so many people, but I know he will be proud of everything he has achieved including the granddaughter that he didn't get to meet.
we know from all the cards, flowers and messages that Gary will be greatly missed by everyone.
We have asked for donations to the Garden House Hospice as they supported us at home to care for Gary and he would want it to be a local charity that gives amazing support and care.
West Ham or Claret and Blue clothes will be very welcome for Gary's send off, as you will all know that was Gary's favourite colour ⚒
