It is with profound sadness that we announce that Denis Gilgallon passed away after a brave battle with Prostate Cancer on Monday 29 July 2024. He is survived by his children, Sarah, Clare and Tim, his beloved grandson Noah and brother Mark.
Denis was born on 26 September 1941 and attended Chiswick Grammar School and eventually became a Bank Manager for Midland Bank (lately HSBC) before becoming a Financial Advisor. Denis had a love for sport, particularly horse racing, football and cricket and supported both Chelsea and Brentford, in his later years often to be seen attending Brentford on a regular basis with his grandson Noah.
Denis was a much loved member of Old Meadonians FC and Wycombe House Cricket Club as well as having a very wide and diverse circle of friends and he will be sorely missed. Denis lived such an extremely full life that there just isn't enough room to sum it all up!
In celebration of his life as a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to so many. We invite you to attend his funeral and celebration of his life afterwards and the details are below.
