This means that from the moment we first bring someone into our care, we can see, clearly and securely, where they are and what stage of our care process they are in.

For families, this means greater reassurance that every individual is being looked after with respect and due care at all times.

Supporting our teams to provide exceptional service

‘Care’ helps our colleagues focus more time on what matters most - supporting families.

By connecting all 600+ Dignity locations in one secure network, we have reduced the number of internal calls and manual checks previously needed to coordinate viewings or prepare for services.

Information that once took hours to confirm can now be accessed in moments, helping our teams act swiftly and confidently when families need them most.

Setting the highest standards across the UK

Although certain care standards are only required in Scotland, we at Dignity have chosen to apply these same high standards across the whole of our UK business so that we are setting the highest standards of care right across the UK.

Our ‘Care’ system supports these principles by recording precise locations within our facilities, ensuring each person receives the care they deserve.

Respecting every detail

‘Care’ also gives us the ability to record and track:

  • Jewellery and personal effects, ensuring they are safely managed and returned appropriately.
  • The entire 16-step process we follow when bringing someone into our care.
  • The movement and safekeeping of ashes in our care.
  • Important alerts to our colleagues at key moments, such as when a loved one first comes into our care or when out-of-hours support is required.

In just ten weeks since its launch, we have rolled out our ‘Care’ system to over 600 locations, trained 3,000+ colleagues, and securely recorded thousands of individuals entrusted to our care.

Every branch has been upgraded with new technology and connectivity to ensure that our service remains consistent, compassionate, and dependable everywhere we operate.

But this is only the beginning.
