National Association of Funeral Directors
The National Association of Funeral Directors is a truly independent trade association with the broadest membership within the funeral profession, including more than 3,200 funeral homes nationwide, suppliers to the profession and overseas funeral directing businesses.
Dignity is a member of the NAFD, so you can rest assured that all of our professional Funeral Directors across the UK will uphold the highest possible standards for funeral services, facilities and care.
The Federation of Burial and Cremation Authorities
The Federation of Burial and Cremation Authorities is dedicated to representing and furthering the interests of cremation authorities and represents 94 per cent of all cremation authorities in the UK.
Funeral Planning Authority
Dignity is registered with the Funeral Planning Authority (FPA) which is an organisation that has been set up to regulate providers in the UK prepaid funeral plan industry.
The primary aim of the FPA is to ensure that the providers involved are operating in line with a stringent set of rules and procedures to help protect customers and give them extra reassurance that they will be receiving the funeral they have paid for, when the time comes.
National Association for Prepaid Funeral Plans
The National Association for Pre-paid Funeral Plans was established in 1993 by funeral plan companies related to the National Association of Funeral Directors and represents the majority of funeral plan companies in the UK.
National Funeral Trust
The National Funeral Trust is in place for our customers’ protection, in the unlikely event that Dignity Funeral Plans goes out of business. As a completely separate entity to Dignity, and ran by some of the most significant financial firms in the UK, the National Trust Fund is able to hold and protect all the funds our customers pay towards their funeral plans.
Each year the fund is actuarially valued and audited by Pricewaterhousecoopers and Ernst Young which means that in the unlikely event that Dignity Funeral Plans were to go out of business, our customers’ money is safeguarded.
BSI Quality ISO 9001
The Business Standards Institution’s ISO 9001 is an international accreditation for Quality Management Systems. By certifying this standard, Dignity Funeral Plans has been able to prove that it continues to reach and exceed the global benchmark for quality management and has used it as a tool for improving and our business. With consistent monitoring and testing, ISO 9001 helps to improve our overall operations and help build an even more reliable company.
BSI Kitemark for Customer Service
In early 2017, Dignity Funeral Plans became the first ever company in the UK to receive the Kitemark™ for Customer Service & Compliant Management from the Business Standards Institution.
The renowned Kitemark™ symbol is in place for acknowledgment when a company has met the international benchmarks in a specified area. With customer service being at the very heart of Dignity and its teams, the Kitemark™ is a true demonstration that we treat every customer with the utmost compassion and care.
Feefo – Dignity is a Gold Trusted Service
Dignity Funeral Plans began using Feefo as its primary customer review platform in Spring 2016. Feefo has allowed us to engage with our customers and gain true insight into their experience with our business so we can continue to enhance it further.
In January 2018, Dignity received the Gold Trusted Service Award, as we met the criteria of collecting at least 50 reviews in 2017 which achieved a Feefo service rating of between 4.5 and 5.0.
