What does a Dignity funeral director do?

People often ask us: what is a typical day here at Francis Chappell & Sons? And, what do your funeral directors do?
Support the family ...
We don't have a typical day here at Francis Chappell & Sons. Our roles and responsibilities are always different depending on the people we meet. We also don't work typical hours. We provide a 24 hour service so that we can be contacted if a loved one passes away outside of normal working hours. One of our funeral directors will be on call to offer support and help people in those difficult moments.

Tending to the deceased is a key part of our responsibility and ensuring the wellbeing of those left behind is equally as important. This is why we support all of the families we speak to, to help ease the stress of coping with a loved one's passing.

Our funeral directors offer a helping hand to those people during difficult times and guide them in making arrangements for the funeral service.
Supporting family members at a funeral service
At Francis Chappell & Sons Funeral Directors it's important for us to hear stories about the deceased and what they enjoyed in life. That way, we can make appropriate recommendations for the service based on what we learn.

Coping with the emotional repercussions of loss is already a difficult process for grieving families. Alongside this, there is a requirement to attend to certain formalities and fill out the correct paperwork.

We understand that this can often add to stress levels when making funeral service arrangements. This is why we offer a helping hand to ensure all the paperwork is completed within the correct timeframes. Our aim is to make the administrative aspect of this process as smooth as possible.

High levels of service are constant here at Francis Chappell & Sons. Each person brought into our care will be tended to with the same close attention and treatment due to our 'care of the deceased' process.

We are extremely proud of our experienced funeral operatives, embalmers and arrangers, who unfailingly operate to the highest standards. From the funeral service to the last goodbye, we ensure the deceased is cared for with the utmost consideration in accordance with the family's wishes.
