What does a Dignity funeral director do?

Learn what we do at J H Kenyon and what a typical day for us looks like.
Support the family ...
No day is the same as the next at J H Kenyon. With one funeral director on call outside of standard opening hours, we're available for support, 24-hours a day. So if someone passes away at home, whether it's halfway through the day or the middle of the night, we are here to help.

We have two main roles that we prioritise over everything; caring for the departed, and their families who have been left behind. There are several choices to be made when arranging a funeral, which can often be difficult when coping with loss. That is why our funeral directors aim to reassure the family and help ease their burdens during these times.
Supporting family members at a funeral service
To make informed recommendations for the funeral service, we take the time to understand who the deceased was, and what they meant to their family. This is all part of the service J H Kenyon provides to the Hampstead community it is proud to serve.

But it doesn't end there. Our funeral directors also give advice on the administrative side of bereavement. This includes guidance on what paperwork is required and advice to ensure it is completed correctly.

The care our funeral directors offer the departed is universal, with every person receiving the same attentive treatment as part of our 'care of the deceased' process.

To ensure a loved one is looked after in accordance with the family's wishes, our teams of funeral arrangers, embalmers and operatives work hard to perform their duties to the highest standards, right from the moment of collection, straight through to the funeral service and final goodbye.

Here at J H Kenyon Funeral Directors, one of our most significant duties is to express our gratitude. We are thankful to the Hampstead community for allowing us to support them during the most difficult times.

That is why we like to give a little something back. Whether it's working with local care homes, training the clergy in funeral procedure, or advising other public bodies on care for the deceased and bereaved, that's what being a part of Dignity means.
