What does a Dignity funeral director do?

Here at Francis Chappell & Sons Funeral Directors, we are sometimes asked what a funeral director does, or what a typical day looks like for us.
Support the family ...
At least one funeral director remains on call outside of normal opening hours, to offer help, advice and support.

While care for the departed is a critical feature of the role, those left behind are of equal importance. Dignity funeral directors have experience in guiding and reassuring the family of the deceased to help ease their burden. Those suffering from loss will have choices to make regarding the funeral and we will aim to give them the confidence they need to reach those decisions.
Supporting family members at a funeral service
No two people are the same, which is why it is important to make each funeral unique. Dignity funeral directors will always take the time to understand who a loved one was, what was important to them and what they meant to the family. This is all part of the service Francis Chappell & Sons provides to the Woolwich community it is proud to serve.

As part of the support Dignity funeral directors offer, we will always be on hand to provide help, support and guidance throughout the administrative side of the bereavement process, too.
Funeral procession at a woodland burial
Our funeral services are delivered to the highest standards, ensuring that everybody receives the same attentive, dignified treatment from the moment they enter our care through to the final goodbye.
Funeral flowers placed on coffin lid
We aim to help the wider community understand the process, allowing them to prepare for and deal with situations in the right way. We work with local care homes, as well as training the clergy in funeral procedures and advising other public bodies on care for the deceased and bereaved. So, being a part of Dignity means our funeral directors are always ready to help.

Here at Francis Chappell & Sons Funeral Directors, we are thankful to the community in Woolwich for allowing us to support them during their time of need. We like to express our gratitude to the community by giving something back.
