What is the role of a Dignity funeral director?
Taking care of those dearly departed is one of our core roles, a role that we take seriously by ensuring they are looked after in accordance to the family’s wishes and that our facilities are maintained to the highest standards. However, offering support and guidance to those left behind is equally important to us. Our funeral directors are always here to offer support and guidance to the family.
Additionally, our funeral directors are here to support the family however they can. This includes taking care of the more administrative side of bereavement and offering support and guidance on what paperwork is required.
Above our standard process, we also consider the family’s wishes when we look after their loved one. This includes embalming, dressing the loved one in their own clothes and anything else the family might wish to include. From the moment of collection to the final goodbye, we will look after their loved one, with nothing but the utmost respect and care.
We work with the local care homes, local clergies and other public bodies to ensure everyone is up to date with funeral procedures and can provide the appropriate support to the families when needed. Being part of Dignity means our Funeral Directors are always ready to help and support the local community.
